Insulation thickness for air conditioning = 25mm (minimum)

Acoustical lining materials for duct are

1. Fiber glass = 48 kg/m3(density)
2. Rock wool = 64 kg/m3(density)

CHILLED WATER PUMPS, VALVES & PIPES

Valves to be covered with phenolic foam.
Chilled water pumps are to be insulated with quick setting urethane foam(density = 15 kg/m3)
Drain pipe insulation thickness = 25 mm
Density of chilled water pipe insulation = 32 kg/m3
Velocity in chilled water pipe = 0.6 – 2.4 ms-1

Chilled water pumps or condenser water pumps
Frequency = 50 Hz
Speed = 1500 rpm or 3000 rpm (synchronous)

Medium-weight galvanized steel tubing

Medium weight black steel
Up to 65 mm(Dia) screw type
Over 65 mm(Dia) welding type
